I currently own 2 FAL folders. Both are 16" barrel. Both have DSA railed top (Para) covers. The first has a full length gas system and shortened Stg barrel. I have been searching the site and came up empty on how to determine the difference in the different types of lower receiver types. Can any of you guys enlighten a noob on it? Pics can help and I want to be able to determine the different types on my own without having to ask.

The lower receiver doesn't bear too much stress, serving mainly to contain the fire control group and a place to mount the buttstock, pistol grip and rear sight, so steel's strength isn't needed, like it is on the upper receiver.
