The rooms were always clean with fresh linen and it comes with pots, pans, along with plates, cups and glasses. Back in the 70's and 80's the traffic was nothing to talk about. We stayed at Pililaau in December 2010 for 10 nights in a studio cabin. The location right on the beach is fantastic. Although the cabin was equipped with AC, we chose to leave the windows open to let in the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach.
