In the past, I had the problem with the broken wire in the door; however, I corrected that issued. Now, I'm having this weird problem where the interior lights won't turn off and then if I hit lock 2x on the remote, the car beeps twice.Interior Lamps. Dome lamps and map lamps. Nov 29, 2020 · To turn your dome light off in a ford explorer, depress the the switch located on your steering wheel, or wait for them to turn off automatically after the car door shuts. Look to the left of steering wheel. Rotary dial with push buttons around it. Lower left hand push button is for dome lights. Push it for off/on. Unlocking only the driver's door via the external keypad is also triggered by the RAP using the Driver's door unlock relay. This information points to a loose or bad connection in the driver's door lock switch. The wire which controls unlock function for the driver's door lock switch is Pink/Light Green in color.The only way the interior lights come on is when you turn them on with the light switch. The relays in the power distribution box which is the one located under the hood on the drivers side, only have grouped things in the light relay. When you look up the functions in the owners manual, there isn't a relay that does just interior light.

Thanks for the reply, I just left the visor mirror open so the light would stay on. I also left the interior dome light on and set my timer for 20 minutes. I went out and the lights were still on. I set the timer for 10 more minutes, after that all lights were out. I opened the door and the visor light came on again.
