Doesn't sound right. The 750's along with the 1500's have used shaft drive for many years. Shaft drive is supposed to be low maintenence and reliable. There is oil in there that needs to be changed periodically. The 750 is a tried and true design that has been in production for years. Since then, however, I have had problems shifting down from 2nd to 1st gear maybe 70% of the time. It doesn't go into neutral, it just stays in 2nd.No problem on the post. I am 196 cm. tall, and with 108 kg`s, a big bike is needed. I went from an older Electra Glide to this one, and it IS bigger. And what a difference in power. If you like the 1500, you will love the 2000.The 900 does not lack in power and carries us very well we regularly do trips of 250 miles in a day. Things to consider. 900 does not have a good stack seat is must be changed or modified for longer rides to be comfortable. Don't replace your lash adjusters, fix them. I have 05 Vulcan 2000. At 60,000 miles my adjusters started getting noisy. Oil change helped for awhile. Auto parts oil additives helped for awhile.
