Prior to making the oil change I referred to the Owners Manual for the correct amount that would be required for the change. The manual shows four drain plugs for draining the hydraulic fluid. I've can locate only three: one in the middle under the tractor and two more located adjacent to the rear wheels. It gets hot there. You could do 10W30 or 10W40 for the engine. I would steer clear of single-weight oil. It all depends on what is available locally, oils are produced to various standards so it doesn't matter who makes it as long as it's made to the relevant standard and is the correct grade and type.Jul 3, 2006. #1. Many people use 15W-40 all the time which may explain why you got what you got. I suspect you'll run into no problems mixing them if the only difference in their specifications is the weight.
