Yes. But once the troll is dead it will not respawn. Yes they do spawn in caves, but you cannot farm them, I have only come across two that actually were in the cave. The first cave troll I went in and now this last one. I've gone through somewhere between 10-15. OP is asking about respawn mechanics hence the farming line.
