The safety on the remington is close to useless. The benelli is workable for rightys and the mossberg is superior. My next riot gun will be an 18inch 500 or 590 with Big Dot front 6/7rd tube, magpul furniture and velcro side saddle. That setup in my opinion is superior to the benelli Nova Tactical that I currently have.

Of mine, the BPS probably rattles the least, Mossberg 500 the most, 870 & Benelli in the middle.It feels thick in your hands. The 870 (or even a 500) felt way more responsive to me. If you just want an entry level beginner pump shotgun - go with the 870. I own it in 12 and 20 and I own a Benelli SBE 2 (which is great) but as a beginner gun, the 870 will last decades, you can beat it up, and it shoots straight.
