If this is what happened, you just need to take the FCU back out, identify the arm and gently lift it back into place over the slide release on the side of the FCU. Now take your left thumb and place it on the tool, do a firm quick push on the tool forward while at the same time pulling with your right hand, you will hear a click and then it pops off.
