From my personal experience, the SIG Mosquito’s ergonomic and comfortable grip augments the handling experience. My GSG will not fire. The other day I completely stripped my GSG 1911 to do a thorough cleaning and lubing, including taking the firing pin assembly out of the slide. Maybe it'll smooth out with some use. I have a 22/45 but I prefer the GSG 1911-22 that I chose rather than the Firefly. The 22/45 is more prone to FTF when it gets dirty than the 1911-22. Also, the GSG 1911-22 is cheaper and looks like a normal 1911 while the 22/45 looks like Ruger product (which I like).

Still, I would consider looking for a good used Ruger which would probably be within your price range, rather than buying a new Walther P22. So my feelings regarding the Walther P22 are rather mixed.
