I have created one notification channel with custom sound, that sound plays after receiving notification in the application background state. But, I have also found that uninstalling and reinstalling the app restores the default sounds. The notification sound says "app provided". Annoying to say the least, especially when I have to go find the older APK files because I don't want the newest version. Android 13 really sucks when compared to 12. I haven't had any luck finding the folder where Outlook is pulling the sound files from, to add them in manually, either.
