I used FRER's for years when ttc and never got any kind of line when it was negative. If you were using a cheapo test then, yes, they have evap lines all the time. Go to target and buy up all the FRER's. Take a test tonight. Use a cup to collect your urine. If your urine is really diluted then don't waste the FRER. Good luck!! Answer: It means you're seeing the indent line, or the space where, if the test had been positive, the dye would have pooled to give you a second (colored) line. Because you can only see the line when you hold the test up to the light, the test shouldn't be considered positive. You're simply seeing an indent that is always there.
